Dr. Fenghui Ren is a lecturer in the School of Computing and Information Technology at the University of Wollongong, Australia. He received the Bachelor of Computer Science from Xidian University (2003), his PhD (2010) from the UOW, Australia. His research interests include Intelligent Systems, Agent and Multi-Agent Systems, Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery, and Smart Grid. Dr. Ren is an active researcher. He had jointed organised several International conferences and workshops and had published more than 70 research papers.

Overview：

Topic ：Software Engineering is a systematic approach to the development, operation and maintenance of software, which contains the software product and the process framework as the two main components. UML is a well defined modelling language to describe the design of the software product and the process of the software development. First, this talk introduces the general activities in software development and several popular software process models to conduct and manage these software development activities. Second, this talk introduces several UML diagrams as a tool to model the design of the software product from different aspects. It is hoped that this talk will improve audiences’ general understanding of Software Engineering activities, processes and the UML modelling language.
