On the morning of March 29th, Professor Yi Mu, editor-in-chief of international top journals and internationally renowned cryptography expert, was invited to give lectures at JI and held academic reports at the lecture hall on the first floor of the Yifu International Conference Center of CCNU. Two lectures were held on the most cutting-edge research topics including security and privacy and block-chain technology.
Professor Xinguo Yu, Dean of JI, Jiageng Chen, associate professor of the School of Computer Science, and masters and doctoral graduate students who come from the National Engineering Research Center for E-Learning, JI, the School of Computer Science, and the School of Physics Science and Technology, all attended this academic report conference.
In the first lecture, Professor Yi Mu introduced security and privacy issues in cloud computing. He not only elaborated on the current popular cloud computing and security risks existing in cloud computing, but also specifically described how to use the full homomorphic encryption technology to protect the user data in the cloud.
He said that in addition to ensuring data security, the cloud should also protect computing security, and cloud computing also brings new challenges to data integrity.
In the second lecture, Professor Yi Mu introduced the latest block-chain knowledge in the world and described the block-chain technology in detail. Professor Yi Mu explained the block-chain with an example of open ledger, and introduced the technical details of the block-chain, which deepened the students' understanding of the block-chain technology. Then, Professor Yi Mu elaborated on the application of block-chain technology from the latest technologies such as Bit-coin and Internet of Things.
Professor Yi Mu also pointed out that the current quantum computing will hardly pose a substantial threat to the security of the block-chain in the short term. The security technology based on modern cryptography will also play an important role for a long time.
In the Q&A session, the students present here enthusiastically raised their questions and discussed heatedly with Professor Yi Mu about the related problems during the lecture.
Professor Yi Mu used vivid charts to visualize the esoteric cryptography, block-chain technology and other content intuitively and vividly, which is difficult to understand. The contents of this book are very simple and informative. The humorous and humorous way of speaking makes the entire lecture hall full of relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.
Professor Yi Mu served as the chair of Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at University of Wollongong Australia from 2011 to 2015. His research interests include cryptography, information security, and quantum cryptography. He has published more than 450 papers, including many top journals and conference papers in the fields of cryptography topics and security. He has served as chairman and member of the program committee of more than 200 conferences including CM CCS, ESORICS, ACISP, AisaCCS, etc.
